Feng Shui Your Desk

Written by Nicolette Vajtay

Need a Raise?  Desire a Promotion?

Of course, you can “Feng Shui” your desk!  Or better said, you can easily shift the Feng Shui of your work environment.

My client from Greece, who found me on my YouTube channel, told me that she felt invisible at work. She felt overlooked, and how much she wanted to be appreciated and acknowledged by her manager.

And while this lovely lady had enhanced her desk in the past with Feng Shui cures, she placed a cure that actually blocked her energy. Her intention was to enhance the wealth energy on her desk (upper left part of your desk), but the plant she placed was so large, she actually blocked her energy.  Left picture.

The right picture shows the healthier placement of the plant.

Since she blocked her own visibility, I asked her to journal about her career, and did she really want to be seen?  Sometimes we doubt our abilities, sometimes we prefer to just do our work under the radar. I believe we never do anything by accident.  So now she is examining why she covered herself from view.

You’ll see in the right picture, we moved the plant into her helpful people area of the desk (lower right area), and used a yellow pot (an earth color) so that she had growth energy in the area of “support” Sometimes one main cure is all you need!

My lovely client says, “I feel much better, not so worried, and happier, mostly because I am getting support from my manager now!! Hopefully, this will lead to better chances and a shiny future! Thank you!!”  Ms. G.Y., Greece

A couple more Feng Shui adjustments…

We moved the phone (currently in Children) to the Relationship gua to have better connections with customers and coworkers.  She also tied an 18″ red ribbon to the phone cord as a way to call in powerful conversations and connections.

We moved the kid pics (currently in Relationship) to the Children gua… thus making work, while at the office, a little more important than the children.  It helps to focus her intention while at work.

We shifted the monitor directly in front of her, in FAME, which influences our eyes and our ability to see our path clearly. And to be seen.  With the monitor in fame, she will be viewed as a contributor to the company.

You may not see them but she had Feng Shui cures all over her desk, thus, “protesting too much,” as Shakespeare likes to say.  When we have too many cures it can actually reveal our “lack of faith” in the cures, and a lack of faith in our own abilities.  She removed all of them and a few earned their way back onto the desk.

I suggested she write out her dream job (as she had indicated she preferred to do something else), whether it existed in her current company or at another, and place it in a small silver box placed in her Helpful People gua by the planet. This way she releases her highest vision of her career to heaven for support!

I also shared the Stability Cure with my client to ground her presence and importance in the office, and the Sunshine Buddha Meditation to infuse her whole being with new energy and light.

To be seen and appreciated we must see ourselves and appreciate ourselves first.
